There have been a lot of works happening at the Langley Villas in Donnybrook, and the residents are extremely happy with the progress.
We are pleased to share that the refurbishment of the Langley Villas, as a part of the Social Housing Economic Recovery Program (SHERP) is 75% complete, with an anticipated finish date set for mid-July this year. This milestone was recently celebrated with a special site visit for long-time residents, all of whom are eagerly awaiting their return to their newly refurbished units.
The visit was an emotional and joyful occasion, as residents were able to see the significant progress and numerous improvements that have been made to their homes. Seeing the changes sparked happiness and excitement among the residents, many of whom have been waiting for this moment with great anticipation.
Major external enhancements include the installation of wider footpaths and the creation of safer entrances to the units, ensuring better accessibility and security for all residents. Other completed works include the extension of parking areas, widening of driveways, and installation of new secure boundary fencing, all designed to enhance convenience and safety. A highlight of the exterior work is the new footpaths that will lead to a specially designed gazebo and BBQ area overlooking the Preston River. This new communal space promises to be a hub for social gatherings and relaxation, offering residents a perfect spot to enjoy the picturesque surroundings.
Internally, the units have undergone significant upgrades. Each unit now has brand new functional kitchens, bathrooms, and laundries, designed to meet modern standards of comfort and efficiency. These improvements are aimed at providing residents with a higher quality of living and ensuring their long-term satisfaction.
