Donnybrook Transit Park

Situated off Reserve Street in a prime position next to the Apple Fun Park playground and Egan Park, local shops and services, and next to the scenic Noneycup Creek, the Donnybrook Transit Park is the perfect choice when visiting Donnybrook and surrounds. 

At this location, each site has capacity for vehicle or tent camping. There are fourteen (14) powered sites with concrete slabs, and seven (7) unpowered sites. There are also modern accessible ablutions, a BBQ, scheme water, and a caravan liquid waste dump-point. 

All guests at the Donnybrook Transit Park must adhere to the Shire's Local Laws, the Caravans & Camping Grounds Regulations 1997, and the Dog Act 1976.

 

Making a Booking

Bookings can be made online at any time, however it is recommended that you make your booking during the Shire's office hours as no assistance is available outside of this time. Please be aware that the maximum stay is three (3) nights.

 

Per Site:

  • Powered Site: $40.00 each
  • Unpowered Site: $30.00 each
  • A maximum of two (2) adults are allowed per site

Additional Guests:

  • $12.50 per adult (aged 17+)
  • $5.00 per child (aged 2-16)
  • Children under the age of 2 years are free

 

Group Bookings:

  • School / Sporting / Community Group Bookings (10+ people): $25.00 per person (children under the age of 2 years are free)
  • Please contact the Shire Administration Office to make a Group Booking

Cancellations & Early Departures:

  • More than 14 days notice: $16.00 per night booked
  • Less than 14 days notice: amount to be advised (determined by the cost of each night booked)
  • No refunds are provided for early departures.

 

Checking In & Checking Out:

  • Check-in is from 1:00pm. Please be aware that if you are arriving early there may be other guests who have not yet left the site.
  • Check-out is before 10:00am. The site is regularly monitored by the Shire.

During Your Stay:

  • Please adhere to the speed limits in the area and at the Transit Park, and be mindful of pedestrians and vehicles in the area.
  • Should you require urgent assistance, an after-hours service is available (see below).

Are pets allowed at the Donnybrook Transit Park?

Dogs are permitted at the Donnybrook Transit Park, however they must be on a lead at all times and are not to be left unattended at any time. Additionally, pets are not permitted in the amenities block under any circumstances. Dogs must not bark excessively or cause a nuisance. All dog droppings must be cleaned up immediately.

How long can I stay at the Donnybrook Transit Park?

Under the Caravan Parks & Camping Grounds Regulations 1997, guests are only permitted to stay at the Donnybrook Transit Park for a maximum of three (3) nights.

How do I tell if there is availability when I book online?

When booking through the online booking system it contains a site map which will show which bays are available. If a bay is shaded, it means it is booked. If you can select the site, then it is available.

How do I pay for (and confirm) my booking?

The Donnybrook Transit Park uses an online booking system through RMS. When making a booking, please ensure that you have entered all of your details correctly - all bookings need to be paid in full at time of booking using a credit or debit card. Credit Card details must be entered for Booking Confirmation. The amount payable will be deducted in full from the card provided when making the booking within 24 hours of submission.

Once you have made your booking, you will receive a confirmation email and other correspondence closer to your scheduled arrival date. Please note that as the online booking system is hosted by RMS, these emails may be redirected to your junk or spam folder by default - please ensure you check this when you have completed your booking.

All booking fees and rates are set in the Fees & Charges of the current financial year by Shire of Donnybrook Balingup.

Watering & Maintenance at the Donnybrook Transit Park

The Donnybrook Transit Park has a regular watering and maintenance schedule that impacts the availability of the sites and facilities. To confirm site availability, you can contact the Shire via the abovementioned methods.

The toilet, shower and BBQ facilities in this transit park are cleaned once per day and not disinfected.

The Balingup Transit Park is managed by the Balingup Visitor Centre. It is is located adjacent to the Balingup Recreation Centre sporting complex off Walter Road in Balingup. The Transit Park provides for vehicle, caravan and tent camping. 17 sites are powered.  Also available are modern accessible ablutions, scheme water and BBQ facilites.

Why am I getting an error message or not able to process my booking online?

The system will not approve or accept any bookings that are over three (3) nights long, as per the Caravans & Camping Grounds Regulations 1997. Alternatively, the site you are looking to book may have varying availability due to maintenance. We suggest you refresh your page and try again, however if you are still getting the error, please contact the Shire for assistance.

What is the code to access the amenities?

The amenities at the Donnybrook Transit Park are for guests only. Once you have completed your booking, you will receive a confirmation email which will include the access code to the amenities. We politely request that you do not share this code with anyone outside of your booking party so as to ensure that only authorised guests are using these facilities. Please note that the code is changed regularly to assist in this endeavour - if you are having issues using the code, please call (08) 9780 4200.

 

The Balingup Transit Park amenities are open to the public, however this is only a toilet block at present. For showering facilities, please talk with the staff at the Balingup Visitor Centre on (08) 9764 1818.

Is there a laundry service?

There is no laundry facility at the Transit Park. There is a self-service laundromat in close proximity at the BP Service Station at 15 South Western Highway in Donnybrook.
