Notice of Public Advertisement of Planning Proposal

The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited:

Lot 945 Southampton Road, Southampton

Proposal:

The proposal includes the following works and use:

• private recreation to allow other events in addition to the already approved mountain bike events.
• a reception centre to accommodate weddings, birthdays receptions and other similar events.
• camping.
• tearoom (café).
• construction of chalets.
• change of use of various structures to accommodate workers accommodation (back packer’s accommodation), an ancillary dwelling, and a bridal room.
• a forest cathedral on Lot 392 incidental to the reception centre on Lot 945.
• tracks on Lots 391, 392 and 1244 used incidental to the private recreation activities and facilities on Lot 945.

Details of the proposal are available to the public at the Shire Administration Office at 1 Bentley Street (Donnybrook) and on this page. Submissions may be made on the proposal in the period ending on 16 September 2024. Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the Shire in writing on or before that day. Submissions are to be emailed to planning@donnybrook.wa.gov.au or posted to Planning Submissions, PO Box 94, Donnybrook, 6239.
