The Donnybrook Balingup Aged Homes Committee identified a need to provide affordable housing for aged pensioners in our community to cater for independent living on a limited income. The committee steered the development of this housing project which, over time, saw the development of two unit complexes.

Minninup Cottages, built in stages commencing in 1979, is a complex of 12 one-bedroom units located at 122 South Western Highway, Donnybrook and are within walking distance of the local shops and amenities. Langley Villas, built in stages commencing in 1986, is a complex of 6 two-bedroom units and 3 one-bedroom units.

The units are located at 144 South Western Highway, Donnybrook. The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup administers the tenancy arrangements and coordinates the general maintenance of the units.

To be considered eligible:

You must be in receipt of an aged pension from Centrelink or Veterans Affairs; and
Not own a home.
