Vision

    The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup is a thriving community, living in harmony with its unique rural environment whilst cherishing its diversity of heritage and culture.

Preston Village
To encourage older residents to remain in Donnybrook, Council is developing a quality retirement village called "Preston Village". Units 2, 7 & 9 are currently for sale $300,000 - $325,000 Negotiable.  Expressions of interest are also being called for Stage 3. For more information click here.

                       

Disability Access & Inclusion Plan
The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup has a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) as required by law. The DAIP ensures people with disabilities can access council services. You can download the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan here. The DAIP is also available at the Shire Office, and when requested, by email (electronic format in large print), by audio cassette or compact disc.

Local Planning Strategy & Local Planning Scheme No. 7
The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup, in conjunction with the Department  of Planning, is preparing a Local Planning Strategy and new Local Planning Scheme. Click on the Scheme Review link for further information.

Local Emergency Management Arrangements
Council at its May 2011 Ordinary meeting endorsed its reviewed Local Emergency Management Arrangements (LEMA) consisting of:

  • Part A - Prevent Plan
  • Part B - Emergency Contacts and Resources
  • Part C - Response to Emergency
  • Part D - Emergency Evacuation Plan

In accordance with the Emergency Management Act 2005 the LEMA has now been reviewed to incorporate the identified risks and treatment of the identified risks to best place the local community in the emergency planning and responses to emergencies for the next 5 years.  Click on the LEMA link for further information.
